Paper Pumpkin Has Arrived...!

WOO HOO!!!  This month's Paper Pumpkin -- Red Box and all, just arrived on my door step. I could hardly wait to open it. Since the PP program started in March, I will have to say this one is the best! If you would like to get on board for next month (just sign up by the 10th of the month and indicate me, Pat Mayer, as your demonstrator) you can start getting one of these little red boxes, too! They also make great gifts for other crafters in your life.

Now you never know what will be in the box--and the first month you subscribe is always the basic kit that includes a clear block that is used in each of the subsequent months. Although you aren't committed to continue the subscription, it is a fun and affordable way to get something new each month of the program.

A Very Special Birthday Card...!

I'm feeling like the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland -- "I'm late, I'm late for a very important date..." Where the time goes, I don't know, but if I don't get this card in the PRIORITY mail by tomorrow, my Grandson won't have his birthday card on time! I just wish I could be there to help celebrate like I was 21 years ago when he was born.

He'll be on his way home from college tomorrow afternoon to celebrate this weekend. I know he's looking forward to lots of family time and good food. Hopefully we will be able to Skype on Sunday so I can share in the festivities...!  

Here's the card and gift card holder I made using sneak peek products from the new 2013-2014 catalog. First of all, I'm in love with the new Soho Subway Designer Series Paper. It's masculine but also has some very elegant designs--so it will be very versatile.

I got the inspiration from a similar card shown in our Stampin Connection--a wonderful place for demonstrators to share ideas.  I will show how I made the gift card holder in another post. It's pretty cool -- can hold cash or a card. Enjoy...!

Lilacs in MDS

It's been a while since I posted a project with My Digital Studio. Trust me, if you haven't tried this out yet, you are missing a wonderful opportunity.  Right now there is a sale on the print products through June 15. I would love to show you everything the program can do...!

This year's blooms on my Lilac bush are exceptional. Some years it hardly blooms, but with our late Spring, and just the right amount of rain, it has produced some amazing color. Of course, I see this as an opportunity to create a project in MDS. Enjoy...!

Eeeek! So Much To Do...!

Oh my -- when it comes to Spring there is so much to do and choices need to be made! The weeds are growing, and the spring clean up of the flower beds must be taken care of, not to mention getting some planting done...! Not that I'm much of a gardner, but I would much rather do these things myself than pay someone to do them for me because that gives me more moola to spend on stamps.  And--let me tell you, when you get your hands on the new catalog, you will know exactly what I mean...! So the past few days I have not focused much on stamping. However, I needed a birthday card to send to one of my friend's mom in Germany who is turning 94. I found this card in the new catalog and just had to CASE it. (That means Copy and Share Everything.)

It's so much fun being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator--especially at this time of they year when we get the Sneak Peek products before the catalog is released!  It's always hard to let go of the old but oh so much fun to embrace the new. Enjoy...!

New Catalog Sneak Peek...! Wildflower Meadow

WOO HOO!  Since I last posted, my new catalog products have arrived. Oh my gosh...you will love the new catalog and all the delightful and delicious products you will find inside! I always wonder how Stampin' Up! comes up with such wonderful products and ideas. I know you are just going to love this one when the catalog goes live.

The large background stamp matches the coordinating embossing folder. You can color the flowers with markers, stamp it and use just a portion, cut out some of the flowers...the ideas are endless. When the Illuminate stamp pad came out in the Holiday Catalog I rarely used it--but it's amazing with this look. Of course, it looks better in real life; but I think you can get an idea of the shimmer that you don't get with the regular Versamark ink.

My sister and brother-in-law have an anniversary coming, so this will be going in the mail today to get there in time. Enjoy...!

Good Recipe Gone Bad...!

Hi Everybody -- I just thought I would pop in and explain my most recent absence. On Sunday I had a recipe to make a most amazing, healthy (yes, healthy) lasagna. I was excited because I had never made lasagna before and wanted to impress my guest...! 

Unfortunately, some ingredient (I don't know which one but I have my suspicions) decided to raise its ugly head and cause some very nasty intestinal issues overnight into Monday. I can't even remember when I've been that ill. Same goes for my guest as well! Suffice it to say, yesterday was a total loss and I slept most of the day. Thank heaven my dog was very tolerant; I only got out of bed to let him out and back in, quickly.

Today is a bit better but I'm still feeling the effects of lack of food and water. When I finally realized I was dehydrated and got some fluids in, things started to pick up a bit. It was very frightning!

One of the really sad things is there were plenty of leftovers that I had hoped to eat this week, now I don't know if I'll ever eat lasagna again...! Of course, I take pictures of all my creations, so here is what it looked like just before serving. Enjoy...!

Fabulous Florets...!

Here is another card on my challenge to Mail A Card A Day...! Yesterday afternoon I was invited to a luncheon for a local volunteer organization. Rather than procrastinate and wait, I figured I needed to get the thank you in the mail as quickly as possible. What a good feeling to know I have met the challenge. You will notice that the cards this wee are very simple in design and quick to create. In most cases, I had card stock already cut for another project and modified to make it work.

Here is a quick stamping tip for you: I stamped the image in Garden Green and then took an old dried Blender Pen to remove the ink on the flower bud. Then I took the Stampin' Write marker to color the flower bud. If the stamp dries a bit, just breathe on it to revitalize the ink. Enjoy...!
